Dean joined Needham Funds in 2021 to lead sales and distribution efforts in the western half of the United States. Dean has served in the financial services industry for over 25 years. He began his career as a Financial Advisor with American Express. He then moved to the Asset Management business where he worked for both First American Funds and Nuveen. Throughout his career in the asset management business, he’s worked as an Internal Wholesaler, External Wholesaler, Divisional Sales Manager, and Co-Head of Sales.

Dean graduated with a B.S. degree from the University of Minnesota. He was a member of the Men’s varsity tennis team and won two Big Ten Team tennis championships. He has been involved with the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic for over 20 years as both a player and co-chair which is an annual event that raises money for Children’s cancer research.
